How to warm up before running – with yoga
There are so many great ways that we can use a yoga inspired practice to effectively warm up before a run!
Our warm up should be continuous and dynamic, mobilise the joints, warm up the muscles and other tissues, provide a small amount of targeted strengthening and get the respiratory system working.
In this video, I share a few movements that I use, and teach, to get the body and mind primed to run. Expect dynamic movements to promote strength and stability, Sun Salutes and full breathing.
